Requirements:
- There are no persons in the vehicle.
- The vehicle has been prepared for a wheel
change.
- The hub caps have been removed.
Important notes on using the jack:
- Use only the vehicle-specific jack that has
been tested and approved by Mercedes-Benz
to raise the vehicle.
- The jack is only designed for raising and
holding the vehicle for a short time while a
wheel is being changed and not for maintenance
work under the vehicle.
- The jack must be placed on a firm, flat and
non-slip surface. If necessary, use a large,
flat, load-bearing, non-slip underlay.
- The foot of the jack must be positioned vertically
under the jack support point.

Rules of conduct when the vehicle is raised:
- Never place your hands or feet under the
vehicle.
- Never lie under the vehicle.
- Do not start the engine and do not release
the electric parking brake.
- Do not open or close any doors or the trunk
lid.

- Using the lug wrench, loosen the wheel bolts
on the wheel you wish to change by about
one full turn. Do not unscrew the bolts completely.

Position of jack support points
Mercedes-AMG vehicles: observe the notes in
the Supplement. Otherwise, you may fail to recognize
dangers.

If you do not position the jack correctly at
the appropriate jacking point of the vehicle,
the jack could tip with the vehicle raised.
- Only position the jack at the appropriate
jacking point of the vehicle. The
base of the jack must be positioned vertically under the jacking
point of the
vehicle.

If you do not position the jack correctly at
the appropriate jack support point of the
vehicle, the jack could tip over with the vehicle
raised.
- The jack is designed exclusively for
jacking up the vehicle at the jack support
points.

- Position jack 2 at jack support point 1.
- Turn crank 3 clockwise until jack 2 sits
completely on jack support point 1 and the
base of the jack lies evenly on the ground.
- Turn crank 3 until the tire is raised a maximum
of 1.2 in (3 cm) from the ground.
- Loosen and remove the wheel.
